Who Are Short Breaks Direct?
Short Breaks Direct, Pebbles Travel and Pebbles Holidays are trading names of Pebbles Travel Ltd. and we are a Travel Agency that has been established since 1994 and we act as Agent for all the hotels and attractions shown on this web site and sold by us. Certain hotels are sold by us as Agent to Operators who contract directly with the hotel.
Can I make a booking at short notice?
Bookings on-line can be made up until 48 hours before the day of arrival. Bookings made by telephone can be made up until the time of arrival. For last minute bookings please call our Advisors on 01803 321 930.
Are my credit card details secure?
All bookings are secure with on-line bookings being made on a secure server to encrypt and protect all information.
What credit cards do you accept for payment?
Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Maestro, Switch and JCB.
Do you accept international credit cards?
Yes, you can book with an international card as long as the card is in your name and the address you provide is the same as your card billing address.
Can I pay by cheque or cash?
No, bookings can only be made with debit or credit card.
Your Personal Details?
No details will be passed on to anyone outside of Short Breaks Direct and the hotel you book. Please see our privacy policy for further details.
Why do I have to pay in full at the time of booking?
Full payment is required at the time of booking to guarantee your hotel break.
Are rates shown per person, per night or per room, per night?
Rates shown on our website are per person, per night. When making on-line bookings the rates shown on the actual on-line booking form, not the individual hotel pages, are per room, per night. This is clearly stated to you on each page.
Do children receive discounts?
Child FREE Offers and discounted rates are available when sharing with a minimum of 2 full paying guests. These are subject to availability and will be advised to you at the time of booking.
Can I make any special requests?
Special requests can be made but can not be guaranteed. Please advise of any special requests at the time of booking and we will try our hardest to meet these for you.
How will I know if my booking has been confirmed?
When making telephone bookings these are confirmed to you immediately once your credit card payment has been processed. For on-line bookings we endeavour to confirm your booking back to you within 24 hours, this will be done by telephone or email. Once confirmed you will be sent your booking confirmation along with credit card receipt and directions by post.
What if the hotel I have requested is not available?
If the hotel you have requested is not available no payment will be debited from your card. We will always do our very best to find you an alternative and will come back to you with these details. However you do not have to book the alternative offered if you do not feel this is acceptable and no payment will be taken.
Should I contact the hotel to check my booking is confirmed?
No, no contact should be made with the hotel regarding your booking. Any queries should be made direct with Short Breaks Direct.
Will my room be held if I am arriving late?
Your booking is guaranteed so yes it will still be available if you are a late arrival as long as you notify us of this. Please state this in your special requests and we will advise the hotel.
Can I change my booking?
Amendments to your booking can be made. If your booking value is not increasing you will be charged a £15 amendment fee. Please see terms and conditions for full details.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

What are Short Breaks Direct’s opening hours?
Monday - Thursday 9am - 7pm, Friday 9am - 6pm,
Saturday 10am - 4pm.Closed Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
How do I contact Customer Services?
If you wish to discuss or write to our Customer Relations Manager they can be contacted at the address shown on our Privacy page. You can also email your comments to info@shortbreaksdirect.com. Please ensure you specify the nature of the email and include the relevant details. In the subject line please state Customer Services.
Please note: If you were to cancel or amend your booking outside of Short Breaks Direct’s or the hotel’s terms and conditions, or if you were to not arrive at the hotel you may be charged up to the full amount of your break.
Can I make a booking if I am from outside of the UK?
Yes, we are happy to accept bookings from outside the UK. All rates will be quoted to you and taken in Great British Pounds (£). Please make your booking as normal.
Can I cancel or amend a booking request?
You can cancel or amend a booking request but you will be liable for cancellation and amendment charges. For full details please refer to our terms & conditions.
